PLA & Vegware
Not only does MSS distribute compostable dinnerware, we also have all of the equipment to process it into compostable material.
MSS distributes Vegware. And we keep a full stock of cups, lids, sleeves, stirrers, clamshells, plates, knives, spoons and forks in stock. These are made of a recyclable material called PLA. PLA, polylactic acid, is a compostable bioplastic made from plant sugars.
One way that our productions are able to get to zero waste is by utilizing our compostable dinnerware and then having it processed in one of our food dehydrators. A Vegware plate and the leftover food on it can be put into an MSS food dehydrator. It will be ground up, and dehydrated into an easily shipped compostable material. MSS has a relationship with a compost company and we deliver straight to them.
Even without a dehydrator, our Vegware is compostable in any regular compost yard, and it breaks down in only six to eight weeks, after which it can be used to make things grow.
